Privacy Policy

Overview

Hourglass is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your debt data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal or financial information to any server.

Data we don't collect

• No analytics or usage tracking in the app
• No advertising identifiers
• No personal information (name, email, or location)
• No financial account data or bank connections
• No device fingerprinting
• No crash reporting that includes personal data

Data stored on your device

Hourglass stores the following data locally on your device, in the app's own storage:

• Debt profiles you create (name, balance, interest rate, minimum payment, and optional due date and notes)
• App preferences and settings (such as appearance, payment reminders, and your payoff strategy)

Extra-payment scenarios and payoff plans aren't saved; Hourglass recalculates them each time. None of this is sent to us or to any server. There is no account and no cloud sync.

Payment reminders

If you give a debt a due date, Hourglass can remind you the day before it's due. Reminders are scheduled on your device as iOS local notifications, and their text (the debt's name and minimum payment) stays with iOS on your device. No notification tokens or device identifiers are sent to any server. You can turn reminders off in Settings.

No bank connections

Hourglass does not connect to any bank, financial institution, or data aggregator. All data is entered manually by you. We have no access to your accounts, balances, or transaction history.

In-app purchases

Hourglass Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements, and Hourglass checks your purchase status with it when the app launches. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous app user ID. No personal or financial information is shared. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.

Third-party services

Hourglass uses no advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, or third-party tracking services.

This website

This website (anchorpoint-software.com) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. It doesn't set cookies and isn't connected to the app, so nothing you do on this site is linked to your use of Hourglass.

If you send feedback through our feedback form, we receive your message, the app and version you chose, and your email address only if you choose to give one. We use it only to read your feedback and, if you left an email, to reply. It is delivered to us by email through Resend, and we don't add you to any list or share it with anyone else.

Children's privacy

Hourglass is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
